The Community Tourism Agency Launches ATV Xperience

In an effort to foster sustainable tourism practices and empower local communities, the Community Tourism Agency (CTA) is thrilled to announce the launch of ATV Xperience, a groundbreaking venture set to revolutionize adventure tourism in Saint Lucia. The collaboration between CTA and ATV Xperience was officially commemorated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, March 16th, 2024, symbolizing the commencement of a new era in the island’s tourism landscape.

Ms. Dahlia Guard, Chief Executive Officer of the CTA, underscored the agency’s dedication to supporting local tourism businesses and fostering innovative ideas. She highlighted the comprehensive assistance received by Mr. Jamal Cyril, owner of ATV Xperience, which encompasses business planning, funding and financing, access to concessions, training, and forthcoming aid with sales strategy and marketing. Guard asserted, “These are all of the services available at the Community Tourism Agency. I say this to say, if anyone in the audience has doubts about achieving their goals, Jamal is actually your story, it is possible.”

Expressing gratitude for the CTA’s support, Mr. Jamal Cyril, owner of ATV Xperience, remarked, “Thank you for giving me the opportunity to create this amazing product. Without you guys, this would not be achievable.” He went on to highlight ATV Xperience’s offerings, promising an unforgettable experience for visitors and locals while promoting sustainable tourism. Cyril detailed the tour starting with a warm welcome, followed by trial runs and a visit to 5 Dollar Beach, which boasts a stunning view and features craft vendors. He mentioned the bikes’ wifi connectivity, enabling guests to stay connected with their loved ones in real-time. The tour continues through the bush trail to the Darren Sammy cricket stadium then back to the headquarters where meals and drinks are available. Cyril’s dedication to showcasing the beauty of Saint Lucia through ATV Xperience promises not only an exhilarating adventure but also an opportunity to appreciate the island’s natural and cultural gems.

The Honorable Dr. Ernest Hilaire, Minister of Tourism, lauded the initiative for its role in creating opportunities within the tourism sector for Saint Lucians, praising its potential to drive innovation and economic growth in the region. He noted, “The more we can get Saint Lucians who want a share of the wealth that this country generates through tourism, the more we will support it. The more we will be there to offer you the support, SLDB and the Ministry of Tourism, because we want you to be success stories.”

The launch of ATV Xperience signifies a significant step forward in the CTA’s mission to elevate community standards and promote sustainable tourism initiatives across Saint Lucia. By partnering with local entrepreneurs and tourism providers, the agency remains committed to fostering restoration, enhancement, and economic empowerment within Saint Lucian communities.
