On Tuesday, August 12th, 2025, the Community Tourism Agency joined the Saint Lucia Cruise Port, in collaboration with the Government of Saint Lucia and the Soufriere Regional Development Foundation, to unveil The Masterplan for the Soufriere Waterfront, which stretches from the Soufriere bus terminal to the end of Baron’s Drive.

As part of this initiative, the Community Tourism Agency will lead human capacity training and development to equip and empower local entrepreneurs. This involves working with boat operators and small business owners to align operations with global standards and create consistent, high-quality services that showcase the culture, character, and creativity of the community.

Friday, August 15th, 2025, the CTA met with the boat operators to continue this process, laying the foundation for their participation in Soufriere’s broader redevelopment vision. This project forms part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that ownership, opportunities, and economic benefits remain in local hands while providing visitors with authentic tourism experiences.
