CTA Empowers 85 Vendors with Essential Training Ahead of Community Jazz 2025

As part of our commitment to elevating standards within Saint Lucia’s community-based tourism sector, the Community Tourism Agency (CTA) proudly facilitated two impactful, full-day training sessions designed to enhance service delivery and ensure the safety and satisfaction of all patrons ahead of Community Jazz 2025.

Held on Thursday, April 17th, and Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025, the sessions brought together a total of 85 vendors representing community jazz events including Choiseul Jazz Fiesta, Monchy Mizik en Kweyol, Hills and Valleys Inspirational Jazz, Jazz en Vierge, Anse La Raye Fish Fry Jazz, and Jazz La Se Nou Mem. These individuals play a crucial role in the success of community tourism events, and their preparation is key to delivering excellence.

The training covered three key areas: Food Safety, where vendors learned proper food handling, hygiene practices, and temperature control to meet public health standards; Fire Safety, which included risk awareness, prevention, and practical demonstrations by a retired fire officer of the Saint Lucia Fire Service; and Customer Experience, focusing on service excellence, effective communication, and cultural awareness to ensure memorable, authentic interactions with visitors.

The CTA extends heartfelt congratulations to all 85 vendors who participated. Their certificates represent more than just attendance, they highlight their active involvement and readiness to contribute meaningfully to the success of Community Jazz 2025. We also express sincere gratitude to our partners and facilitators who made this training possible. Together, we are strengthening the foundation of community tourism and ensuring that every visitor encounter is safe, enjoyable, and authentically Saint Lucian.
